GeoSetter (Final 2022)

“Our vision is to make it simple, easy and comfortable to view or edit geotagged digital pictures.
As such, we thought of the perfect software for everyone to use – everyone being the group who uses digital cameras and smart mobile phones. We wanted to take the frustration out of exploring all the data you could possibly want to copy to another device (e.g. iPod or a remote server).
Many people find searching images on Flickr and other photo sharing websites time-consuming, as they must keep scrolling and continuously type out every key. Same goes for tagging pictures with just a few specific keywords.
We needed a simple solution for doing the same from within the camera app or on the camera roll. We also wanted to be able to edit and associate metadata (like location) on the fly, to share location info as it changes, and to synchronize it with GPS devices and desktop-based photo viewers, like iTunes.
We hope you enjoy our little piece of software, so you can stop spending hours just looking for photos from a certain location.”

How to get the git-merge-recursive command to treat the target of an a/b branch as the source of the merge?

I have set up a graph I’m having some difficulty with.

I want my master branch to behave as the source for the merge.
I want my c and d branches to merge with master (what git describe –match is doing).
If my b branch merges to master, git apply –index would be passed in (doing a git rebase is not an option).

Would be great to have the git-merge-recursive command do it but I haven’t managed to get it to work.

You can apply –index manually by executing git apply –index on the target branch.
git apply –index your/merge-file.txt

This will apply any changes in the merge-file.txt to the target branch and git will signal that it is up to date.
This can be especially important for branches that share a history (including the master branch).

You can also force the git command to perform a “recursive merge” by executing
git merge –no-ff –no-commit master

git merge –no-ff -m “merging from master” master

The Software features

Detailed IPTC, XMP and EXIF Data Editing.

The IPTC keywords you enter (description, source, date, contact, camera or copyright) can be reviewed later, and their values can be synchronized with a picture or its data by taking advantage of GeoSetter’s online database of DBX keywords. You can set the file date from a picture’s taken date or specify an ISO date format.

Batch Renaming.

You can enter a group of filenames, select pictures to rename in this group and choose the main heading of the text (year, month, day, contact, keywords, copyright, etc.) and a language. It’s possible to choose a specific dialect from a list, and it’s also possible to use case-insensitive searching. If you have a template available, you can use it to speed up the renaming process.

Users’ Templates.

GeoSetter offers a vast array of templates for customizing text, dates and other data from titles, captions and keywords. You can create multiple templates and apply them to different pictures.

Digital Maps.

Using the Windows Media Player maps API, GeoSetter enables you to show up-to-date maps on the computer screen (and can zoom in to a specific location). It supports two map types: Google Street, Satellite, Hybrid or Terrain Map, OpenStreetMap, OSMarender, and You can choose a supported format (HTML5, XML, KML, GeoRSS, RDF, XSD, etc.) or attach a new image to create your own map.

GPS Synchronization.

GeoSetter lets you synchronize GPS data from a picture’s GPS coordinates or create GPS files for a picture or group of pictures. It’s possible to either follow the focused picture or center the map on a picture’s position. You can set the picture’s view angle using the 35-mm equivalent focal length.
